Tony Cress

Chief Explore Officer

Being born and raised in northwest Arkansas, I grew up camping, fishing, hunting and floating the Ozark National Forest. My love for offroading didn’t develop until after I bought my first 4 wheeler as an adult. From there it progressed thru different 4 wheelers and side by side rigs and on to where we are today…. Jeeps.  I married the love of my life in 1994, and over the last 30+ years, we’ve shared many of these experiences together. So, the combination of all these activities into vehicle based adventure exploration defines what overlanding means to me, and is why I am so passionate about it. If I’m not working or overlanding, I’m talking about overlanding, or the gear we use, on THE Overland Podcast with my Bro, Joey Slayton.

Born in Florida but moved to Northwest Arkansas in 85. My love for the outdoors brought me to camping, kayaking, exploring and offroading. I was lucky enough to marry my husband who enjoys the same. I am.also the Co Host of a weekly podcast called Lady Overlander Radio. My Co Host and I are geared at inspiring other women to get out and explore.

Makena Cress

Chief Fund Raiser

This amazing kid came into our lives in 2009. Like many kids these days, she loves her phone, and hanging out with friends. But she also loves the outdoors. She spends her time at camp exploring, swimming, kayaking and fishing. She loves her dogs, Sadie and Diamond, and her cat Ellie. Fun fact about Ellie… many folks don’t know that she is toilet trained. That is a fun conversation!

Makena also enjoys volunteering for fund raising organizations such as Blue Line Overland. They raise money every year for their Shop With a Cop program.

Sadie & Diamond

Chief Shenanigators

Our black Lab mix, Sadie, is 3 years old now and is full of personality. She loves getting her belly scratched and taking naps.

Our long haired Dachshund, Diamond, lives and breathes the motto “Ball is Life”. She enjoys chasing the ball, and Sadie enjoys chasing Diamond.

These two love to spend their time at camp exploring and playing in the water (when we camp by a river etc).
